New Chinese Firmware for Formovie S5 and More!

Recently, we noticed a comment mentioning that the Formovie S5 projector can become sluggish after being flashed to the international version. We’d like to give a huge thanks our dear users for bringing this to our attention! Your feedback plays a crucial role in helping us provide the best possible service for all our customers.

What We’ve Done So Far

After closely monitoring the situation, we reached out to the Formovie team to find a solution. We're pleased to inform you that we’ve secured the latest Chinese firmware package directly from Formovie, which we believe should help resolve the sluggishness issue caused by flashing to the international version.

What’s New in the Update?

Along with the much-needed firmware update, we’ve also worked with our tech team to ensure that the package includes YouTube and Aptoide for an even more enhanced viewing experience.

Who Can Use This Update?

No matter where you purchased your Formovie S5, whether from us or elsewhere, you are welcome to use our firmware package. We’ve made it accessible to all users so that everyone can enjoy the improved performance.

How to Get the Update

We’ve made the firmware available via a Google Drive link.  Once you download the package, follow the installation instructions to apply the firmware to your projector. 

Step-by-Step Firmware Installation Guide

If you've already gone through the flashing process for the international version before, you’ll be very familiar with this step.

If you’re not sure about any part of the process, please visit our Resource Center to download the installation guide. The Resource Center guide follows the global version process, but the steps are exactly the same for the Chinese version update.

1. Unzip the S5 upgrade file

2. Insert the USB flash drive into the projector

3. Unplug the power lead from the projector

4. Press and hold the designated two buttons (Navigation and back buttons) simultaneously, then plug the power lead back in

5. When "delete" appears on the screen,release the buttons

6. Wait patiently for the upgrade process to complete

7. Once the upgrade is done,the projector will reboot automatically
